Sustainability

Sustainability is part of ITA Nordic

We are committed to responsible business practices that consider our people, the environment, and business laws and regulations.

For years, we have been enhancing our processes to be more environmentally friendly.

Renewable energy: We use renewable energy and minimize energy consumption in all our units. All our sites use carbon-free electricity. We use renewable energy and heat recovery to heat our factory buildings.

Recycling of raw materials: Majority of the steel we use is sourced from steel mills that use recycled steel.

Waste management: We are committed to minimizing waste in our production processes. At our factory, waste is sorted according to legislation and guidelines, with each type stored in separate containers. We provide our staff with guidance and training to make recycling as easy as possible. Monthly waste reports help us monitor the types and amounts of waste, allowing us to track the impact of our efforts.

Digital product passport

Digital identity

A digital product passport is a unique digital identity for a product that provides customers with information about the manufacturing process, raw materials, carbon footprint, and recycling opportunities. The digital product passport enables a more efficient exchange of information between the manufacturer and the customer, as the agreed product information is easily accessible in electronic format.

Transparency and traceability

The information provided by the digital product passport increases transparency and traceability, which is particularly important for sustainability and circular economy objectives. The digital product passport improves quality control and risk management, as the origin of materials and parts in the supply chain can be easily verified.

Green development

The digital product passport is part of the EU's green development program. It aims to promote the circular economy and reduce the environmental impact of products. The program aims to support sustainable development and help businesses meet future regulatory requirements through greener practices. In the near future, a digital product passport will be required for all products sold in the EU.
